Matt Thomson Director of Hockey Development and Advising
Matt Thomson is a Reading, Massachusetts native who brings a rare combination of high-level playing experience, academic credentials, and entrepreneurial leadership.
Matt played Division 1 collegiate hockey at Northeastern University, where he earned his undergraduate degree, and was part of teams that captured two Beanpot Championships and a Hockey East Championship. He later continued his playing career at Bentley University while completing his MBA.
In addition to his role at Polar Sports Group, Matt is the Owner and Founder of MTS, a hockey development and consulting company that works with elite athletes, families, and organizations on long-term development planning and performance optimization. His work spans on-ice development, pathway advising, and strategic consulting across the amateur and elite levels.

Luna Hu 胡星月 Operations Manager
B.S., Hunan Univeristy M.S., Hanyang University
A graduate of the world-renowned Hanyang University with a degree in Global Sports Industries, Luna returned to China in 2019 and committed to the sports industry. She spearheaded the creation of lectures on Sports Management and other training materials regarding the sports industry for Vning Sports before joining PolarSports Sports. Luna has extensive experience in helping Chinese students study abroad. The combination of her expertise in the sports industry and experience in education helped her gain a unique insight into the process of becoming a student-athlete.
Luna is leading PolarSports’ operations in China coordinating with our Chinese partners, student-athletes, and parents. Her motto is: The goal wouldn’t be that far if you’re willing to be a part.
